Ritmo Advanced Sound System: MP3 Player Just For Pregnant moms

Posted in MP3 Players, New Tech, Portable Players on January 21st, 2010 by melody – Comments Off

amd_ritmo_audio_systemThere is no evidence that playing music for a baby to hear before birth boosts either music ability or intelligence. However, a MP3 player is still required for pregnant moms to share ‘the sensory and emotional experience of bonding through sound and music, while being supportive, safe and stylish at the same time’.

The Ritmo Advanced Sound System by Nuvo, is just designed for pregnant moms. “Ritmo was born out of my frustration at seeing my wife struggle to find a comfortable position that also allowed the speaker to stay still.” Oren Oz, inventor of the system, said like that. “It was impossible for her to be mobile while having the maximum flexibility to choose her own sound.”

In the fetus-friendly sound system, two pairs of speakers in a soft fabric pad fit around a pregnant tummy and may be worn under clothes. Ear phones are inluded so mom can tune in, too. The designers note that unborn babies display signs of “reactive listening” by the 17th week of pregnancy. But don’t expect the sound system to turn your baby into a musical genius or increase his or her IQ as what have been mentioned at the beginning.

Apple iPod Touch With 3G Technology

new-review-apple-ipod-touch-third-generation_largeThe third-generation iPod Touch is being defined most by what it doesn’t have: a video camera and an FM radio.

What the iPod Touch did get in this release is a price drop, which is a nice alternative. The 8GB model sells for $199 (down from $229), the 32GB for $299 (down from $399), and a new 64GB model costs $399.

You’ll need to get out a stopwatch to experience some of the iPod Touch’s improvements. The processor is faster now; Apple says it’s up to 50 percent speedier, and graphics rendering is accelerated by the new integration of OpenGL.

We’re definitely a fan of more speed, but we found the most useful of the new features is the Voice Control function.

With this latest iPod Touch, we again have to wonder why this device can’t do more wirelessly, considering that it supports Wi-Fi wireless networking.

Will You Buy the PSP Go?

Posted in New Tech, PSP on January 4th, 2010 by melody – Comments Off

PSP GoThe latest PSP game console, entitled PSP Go, has been on the market since October 1,2009. And Sony has gone ahead and release firmware v6.10 for the system before. Whether you’re rocking the old school PSP or the new PSP Go, fire up your internet connection and grab the new firmware.

The new PSP Go finally grants a new look to the loved Playstation Portable and supposedly will get rid of the UMD slot that seems so last decade. The images show a featured slider portable console that is designed a bit more stylish than before and somehow looks as if you get more within a more compact version of the PSP update.

What more? Just as an example, the new Sony Playstation Portable will house an internal 16GB of memory, so it will be a lot more convenient to download games, movies and music to always have it with you while on the go. It should still feature an external memory slot (just in case) and is looking to add Bluetooth connectivity.

Since it is a slider, then the buttons are closer together in their own area of usability. Well, until further information is made public, you have the images in the gallery plus the new PSP video to gather some of your own rumors and get excited about Sony all over again. Will you buy it? Although a little expensive, I think it is worthwhile.
