Does Archos 7 worth its high price?

Does Archos 7 worth its high price?

What I concern most about Archos 7 is its price. Why is it so expensive? The hightest price tag is $617.95, which is even higher than that of Apple iPad 32G WiFi only version. First of all, it has a super capacity of 320GB. And Archos 7 introduces a new concept: the Internet Media Tablet. The Archos also 7 offers customers uncompromised access to the Internet, media content and TV in a handheld device.

Archos also features a 7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen and 800*400 pixel resolution with 16 million colors. The amazingly sharp and high-resolution screen lets you navigate effortlessly through the web just like you would on a PC. Surfing on a handheld device has never been so fast and smooth. The full email application lets you read, write, download and send attachments, and manage your contacts. Browsing becomes almost seamless with the ARM Cortex processor and the Adobe Flash 9 video support.

Enjoy your ARCHOS 7 content back on your TV, with the DVR Station. Schedule recordings in few clicks any TV program from you cable channels or your setup box, and choose when and where you want to watch them. Play back all your digital content from your ARCHOS 7 to your TV, even in HD quality, at 720p. With the TV snap-on, digital free TV is broadcast live on your Internet Media Tablet, wherever you are.

Sony Walkman NWZ-S544 8GB MP3 Player on Sale, retails for $70

Sony Walkman NWZ-S544 normally retails for $100 to $110, but now is on sale for just $70. Spending half the money, you can only buy one that is not famous as Sony and the capacity of it may be only 4G. If you are looking for MP3 player without the hassle of mixtapes, Sony Walkman NWZ-S544 can be just the thing for you.

Sony Walkman NWZ-S544  exercises your options with the slim and stylish 8GB S-Series Walkman video MP3 player. Featuring built-in stereo speakers, you can unplug your headphones and listen to your music out loud. In addition to superior sound quality, this S540 Series Walkman player lets you enjoy up to 42 hours of music playback or up to 6.5 hours of video playback before needing to recharge. Plus, you can even record lectures, meetings and radio broadcasts via the voice and FM recording function. Headphones, mini USB cable and hands-free, flip-out stand included.

Happily the installation of two small speakers at the top and bottom hasn’t done too much to increase the size of the device which, at 49.3 x 99.3 x 10.2mm and 68g, remains reasonably light and compact despite having a 2.4in, 240 x 320 display, rather than the E’s 2in affair.

Cowon V5 not as perfect as you imagine

Cowon V5 not as perfect as you imagine

If you have wish to buy Cowon V5, you’d betther see here first. The most core features that Cowon boast of in its advertising are HD video playback and pleasant appearance, as well as HDMI output support. There is no doubt that is indeed true with its crystal clear HD videos and slimness that offers you a perfect grip for both hands. However, it is priced at $299, which is much expensive to cost on a media player with out Wi-Fi and the ability to surf the web. Anyway, if you like 4.8-inch big screen with 800 * 480 high resolution, Cowon V5 could be one of your choices.

As to HDMI output. The truth is, the Cowon V5 doesn’t have an HDMI output. Instead, Cowon stuck a proprietary connector on the side of the V5 that–depending on which adapter cable you connect–works as an HDMI out, component video out, or the sole USB connection. If you lose any one of these three cables, you’ll also lose the ability to connect the V5 to anything worthwhile. Also included with the V5 is a wall-charging block, which is pretty much a necessary attachment for recharging or if you want to have the V5 play a full-length HD movie over HDMI without dying halfway through. Recharge time with the wall adapter is approximately 3.5 hours.

Cowon S9: You must not neglect its AMOLED Screen

Cowon S9: You must not neglect its AMOLED Screen

While the ipod Touch has wifi and games, its audio and video quality are mediocre. If you sincerely care about your music and videos, the Cowon S9 is superb at bringing out the best of both. Cowon’s legendary sound quality is as one would expect from its latest media player, but the AMOLED screen is the highlight that appeals me very much. It is 1000x more responsive than LCD and has 10,000 to 1 contrast ratio improvement, making watching videos on this thing quite amazing. Everything is very sharp and high quality videos don’t blur in movement. Best of all, there’s no need to spend six or seven hours converting a 2 hour movie if it’s in AVI or WMV, so it’s much easier to enjoy videos. If you’re more into music, the S9 supports FLAC and OGG for audiophiles, allowing you to enjoy your music the way it was meant to be listened to.

The UI is not THAT clumbsy. It’s not as crystal smooth as the touch, but it’s much better than a lot of touchscreens IMO. The UI takes some getting used to, but once you know all the shortcuts, you’ll be handling it like a pro, easily getting to where you want to go. With a dual core 500mhz processor, it’s more than capable of handling whatever you throw at it, so that’s not what’s causing the occasional lag, but rather some firmware bugs that will likely be resolved quickly.

Cowon loves the S9 and will be sure to improve it even further than it is now so that everyone can enjoy it. Already people are customizing the interface to how they see fit and soon programmers will fix issues and offer alternatives, so there’s no reason not to buy the S9 if you’re afraid of its interface being faulty.

Sansa Express: World’s First MP3 Plyer with MicroSD Expansion Slot

Posted in MP3 Players, Portable Players on April 19th, 2010 by melody – 1 Comment

Sansa Express: World's First MP3 Plyer with MicroSD Expansion SlotDifferent from general MP3 plyer, Sansa Express has a MicroSD expansion slot, with which you can transfer the music stored in it to other devices that support MicroSD card, such as your cell phone, when you don’t want to copy and paste through PC. It boast that Sansa Express is the World’s first MP3 player that has such an addition. At least, it is the first MP3 player I have ever seen like that.

No matther how wonderful I say the sound quality is, you can’t feel it unless you have a personal experience on the sample. Making you have a desire to try it, is what I would like to do. Obviously from the picture Sansa Express is a direct connect USB MP3 player that needs no cable. But if you want one, you can find a USB extension cable in the package contents. Anyway, I don’t like redundant cable. The capacity is up to 2GB that you are allowed to store nearly 500 MP3 files or 1000 WMA files, which must be enough for your requirement on listening music. Some other functions that most of MP3 players have are not in the list I want you to specially notice.

It is unbelievable that Sansa Express is only sold $25.99 at Amazon.com, while other shops give the price at $70 or so. Search “Sansa Express” at http://www.google.com/products?hl=en, you’ll find such a strange result.

Sony Released its First Wire-Free MP3 Player

At the time Sony announcing its new walkman player B150, another player NWZ-W250 is released as well. The NWZ-W250 Walkman MP3 player is proud to be the first wire-free MP3 player from Sony which is capable of resisting rain splashes or sweat of a gruelling gym session. All you need to do after exercising is to rinse the NWZ-W250 under the tap until all your sweat and grime is washed away, or you can do so while having a post-workout shower with your favorite tracks still making music into your ears.

Nice to know it doesn’t come in just one drab color, as you can choose from a quartet of sporty colors, while the light, all-in-one design does away with the classic tangle of headphone wires which will be a damper especially when you’re trying to concentrate on your workout, running session or dancing class. It ships with 13.5mm EX Series headphones that offer clear, powerful Walkman sound alongside total comfort and a secure fit during physical activity.
