Onda VX585

I orderd an MP5 the day before yesterday, and got it through express delivery yesterday morning, in the evening downloaded “Desperated Wives Season Two”, and this morning I killed time in the subway by watching that play. That’s an wonderful experience. I don’t have to do nothing which makes me like a fool. By the way, what I bought is Onda VX585. It does a good job. They are not empty words any more. I experienced it by myself.

Maybe you don’t get the mean of MP5? So what is MP5? It’s only a concept. Actually it is a portable video player. I have talked about it in the previous article. See here: What is MP5, I think it will be clear to you.

Does Archos 7 worth its high price?

What I concern most about Archos 7 is its price. Why is it so expensive? The hightest price tag is $617.95, which is even higher than that of Apple iPad 32G WiFi only version. First of all, it has a super capacity of 320GB. And Archos 7 introduces a new concept: the Internet Media Tablet. The Archos also 7 offers customers uncompromised access to the Internet, media content and TV in a handheld device.

Archos also features a 7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen and 800*400 pixel resolution with 16 million colors. The amazingly sharp and high-resolution screen lets you navigate effortlessly through the web just like you would on a PC. Surfing on a handheld device has never been so fast and smooth. The full email application lets you read, write, download and send attachments, and manage your contacts. Browsing becomes almost seamless with the ARM Cortex processor and the Adobe Flash 9 video support.

Enjoy your ARCHOS 7 content back on your TV, with the DVR Station. Schedule recordings in few clicks any TV program from you cable channels or your setup box, and choose when and where you want to watch them. Play back all your digital content from your ARCHOS 7 to your TV, even in HD quality, at 720p. With the TV snap-on, digital free TV is broadcast live on your Internet Media Tablet, wherever you are.

Cowon V5 not as perfect as you imagine

Cowon V5 not as perfect as you imagine

If you have wish to buy Cowon V5, you’d betther see here first. The most core features that Cowon boast of in its advertising are HD video playback and pleasant appearance, as well as HDMI output support. There is no doubt that is indeed true with its crystal clear HD videos and slimness that offers you a perfect grip for both hands. However, it is priced at $299, which is much expensive to cost on a media player with out Wi-Fi and the ability to surf the web. Anyway, if you like 4.8-inch big screen with 800 * 480 high resolution, Cowon V5 could be one of your choices.

As to HDMI output. The truth is, the Cowon V5 doesn’t have an HDMI output. Instead, Cowon stuck a proprietary connector on the side of the V5 that–depending on which adapter cable you connect–works as an HDMI out, component video out, or the sole USB connection. If you lose any one of these three cables, you’ll also lose the ability to connect the V5 to anything worthwhile. Also included with the V5 is a wall-charging block, which is pretty much a necessary attachment for recharging or if you want to have the V5 play a full-length HD movie over HDMI without dying halfway through. Recharge time with the wall adapter is approximately 3.5 hours.

Cowon S9: You must not neglect its AMOLED Screen

Cowon S9: You must not neglect its AMOLED Screen

While the ipod Touch has wifi and games, its audio and video quality are mediocre. If you sincerely care about your music and videos, the Cowon S9 is superb at bringing out the best of both. Cowon’s legendary sound quality is as one would expect from its latest media player, but the AMOLED screen is the highlight that appeals me very much. It is 1000x more responsive than LCD and has 10,000 to 1 contrast ratio improvement, making watching videos on this thing quite amazing. Everything is very sharp and high quality videos don’t blur in movement. Best of all, there’s no need to spend six or seven hours converting a 2 hour movie if it’s in AVI or WMV, so it’s much easier to enjoy videos. If you’re more into music, the S9 supports FLAC and OGG for audiophiles, allowing you to enjoy your music the way it was meant to be listened to.

The UI is not THAT clumbsy. It’s not as crystal smooth as the touch, but it’s much better than a lot of touchscreens IMO. The UI takes some getting used to, but once you know all the shortcuts, you’ll be handling it like a pro, easily getting to where you want to go. With a dual core 500mhz processor, it’s more than capable of handling whatever you throw at it, so that’s not what’s causing the occasional lag, but rather some firmware bugs that will likely be resolved quickly.

Cowon loves the S9 and will be sure to improve it even further than it is now so that everyone can enjoy it. Already people are customizing the interface to how they see fit and soon programmers will fix issues and offer alternatives, so there’s no reason not to buy the S9 if you’re afraid of its interface being faulty.
