Soweto Gospel Choir Brings you Joy of Faith

Soweto gospel choir

I come to know Soweto Gospel Choir through Akon. Yes, it is Akon that let me get aquainted with Africa music, Africa culture, and other musicans/singers, as well as activities and organizations. So I’d like to write something about him in the future. Now back to Soweto Gospel Choir:

The Soweto Gospel Choir was formed to celebrate the unique and inspirational power of African Gospel music. The 26-strong choir, under the direction of David Mulovhedzi and Beverly Bryer, draws on the best talent from the many churches in and around Soweto where Lebo M live in his childhood. The choir is dedicated to sharing the joy of faith through music with audiences around the world.

Soweto Gospel Choir is going to make a performance in FiFa World Cup 2010 that will held in South Africa this June. I always think chorus is more easily shocked than solo, expeically for the songs that reveal the reality and express kind of genuine feeling, such as “We are the World” for Africa famine and “Oh Africa” for world cup. Soweto is such a simple organization which brings us the joy of faith and soothes inner unquiet, that I hope more and more people can know them and listen to them.
